We're excited to invite a talented Systems Engineer Senior II (Windows System Administrator) to join our team! This position is fully remote, offering flexibility while you contribute to our mission of supporting critical IT services for the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM).
About the Role:
As a Senior Windows Systems Engineer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and enhancement of our Windows-based systems. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality IT services, ensuring system security, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance Windows systems to meet operational and security requirements.
Provide expert support for Windows Engineering Sustainment within the PEO EIS MSP.
Develop and implement effective test strategies, devices, and systems.
Solve engineering problems or manage the solution of these issues within your area of expertise.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
At least 9 years of experience in software system analysis, design, development, and implementation.
Experience with test strategies, system development, and problem-solving within engineering.
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification and relevant DoD 8570.01-M Computing Environment certification.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience as a Windows Server administrator.
Proficiency with Windows Server 2019/2022 administration.
Hands-on experience with Group Policy Object (GPO) Administration.
Experience managing Windows servers in AWS cloud environments.
Strong scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell or similar languages.
Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Relevant technical certification (Windows or similar).
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of DoD security requirements and compliance (STIG/ACAS).
Familiarity with ERP SAP environments.
Experience with Linux Administration.
Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
Experience with Agile frameworks.
Experience in performing Windows in-place upgrades and handling WSUS patching issues.
