Position: Senior Operations Associate
Salary Range: $74,000 - $84,000

Position Overview:
We're seeking a highly motivated Senior Operations Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the efficient and effective management of core organizational functions that are vital to achieving our mission. Location:
This position is based in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule. We also offer consideration for remote work within the contiguous United States.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning and Execution
- Lead the planning and execution of major events, including semiannual meetings, learning labs, press conferences, and more
- Develop event budgets, track spending, and manage expenses
- Oversee invitation distribution and RSVP management
- Create event runs-of-show and coordinate material development
- Serve as the point of contact for day-of event execution
- Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts
2. Internship Program Management
- Develop and implement a year-round intern hiring and recruitment plan
- Identify opportunities for interns across departments
- Facilitate intern onboarding and offboarding processes
- Organize professional development opportunities for interns
- Build an alumni engagement strategy
3. Team Building and Professional Growth
- Oversee logistics for internal meetings and events, including annual staff retreats
- Plan monthly brown bags focusing on policy priorities and professional growth
- Organize team-building activities and recognition of staff milestones
4. Special Projects Management
- Partner with leadership on various special projects, including annual strategic planning
- Develop and document organizational processes and policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-4 years of relevant work experience, including project management and event planning
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Salesforce, Eventbrite, Zoom, and project management software (preferred)
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work across teams and time zones
- Discretion in handling sensitive information
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in U.S. climate and clean energy policy issues
