Job Description Position Title: Student Advisor
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Type: Part-time, temporary
Duties: As a Student Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting UTR leadership in advising students, with a focus on monitoring students on improvement plans. This will include meeting with students individually and in small groups to develop and monitor interventions that contribute to their academic success. Meetings with students will take place after the school day and in the evenings.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in teaching, particularly in urban schools, is essential.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with UTR leadership to provide effective student advising.
- Monitor students on improvement plans and implement targeted interventions.
- Conduct individual and small group meetings to support students in their academic journey.
- Advise students regarding academic core and/or departmental requirements, appropriate class selection, academic policies and procedures, and campus resources.
- Assist students with identification of long term goals and career plans.
- Work to position students to meet requirements for graduation within appropriate periods of time while preparing them to meet future goals.
- Serve on appropriate department, college and/or campus advisory committees.
- Perform related duties as required or deemed necessary to meet the Academic Advising goals within the Advisor's scope of responsibility.

Pay Range $7.25 - $33.00 Hourly Rate
