Job Description

Beautiful photography is critical to the Proper Cloth user experience. Whether it's outdoor lifestyle photography or studio product photography, the images need to be beautiful and the products need to look perfect. Retouching, color adjusting, clone stamping, distorting, and other forms of photoshop artistry are an essential part of the process.

We’re looking for a retoucher to join the Proper Cloth Marketing team. Daily tasks will include coloring product images, editing on figure images, and collaborating with our team on fashion campaigns. You’ll work in tandem with photographers, editors, art directors, stylists and our Head of Art & Photography everyday. 

This is a full-time position. You’ll work out of our headquarters in NYC.

Your day-to-day:

  • Color adjust photos to be consistent across multiple resources
  • Edit studio photographs to ensure color accuracy and balance
  • Produce web-ready crops and organize files carefully
  • Collaborate on in house advertising concepts
  • Prepare images for print

Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years experience as a photo editor
  • You are an expert in Photoshop 
  • Knowledge of digital photography systems
  • You are incredibly detail oriented and able to follow instructions carefully
  • You are honest and humble and can give and take critique productively
  • You have a positive, optimistic, can-do attitude and are committed to becoming the absolute best you can be
  • A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn is a must
  • Submit your portfolio for review
