Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases from initial filing through trial.
* Draft and respond to legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
* Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including taking and defending depositions, handling interrogatories, and reviewing documents.
* Lead depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts.
* Represent the firm in court hearings, motions, and legal proceedings.
* Collaborate in the development of trial strategies, preparing exhibits, witness lists, and legal arguments.
* Provide strategic legal counsel and maintain direct communication with clients throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications:
* Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
* Active membership in the California State Bar.
* 3-7 years of hands-on experience in personal injury or plaintiff civil litigation.
* Strong background in managing complex litigation cases from inception to trial.
* Exceptional legal research and technical writing skills with proficiency in using legal research tools.
* Experience with both state and federal court procedures.
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients and collaborate within a team.
* Self-motivated, independent, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering results for clients.
