Job Description

Brad Foote Gear Works is hiring a Industrial Maintenance Technician position on 1st shift in our manufacturing facility based in Cicero, IL. This role ensures operation of machinery and CNC equipment by completing preventive and maintenance repair requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and all mechanical aspects of the CNCs and equipment; following Brad Footes procedures effectively while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Diagnose, disassemble and determine the number of repairs necessary Replaces or repair defective parts and reassembles equipment assuring proper functioning and quality performance of such equipment Lay out, assemble, install and maintain hydraulic systems and pneumatic equipment Remove/install parts necessary for repairs by: using hoists, cranes, forklift and other special tools Identify parts used for repairs and aid in maintaining critical part spares Fabricate machine parts by inspecting used parts; using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments Level and align spindles, pallet systems, tool changers, and axis on a CNC or manual machine Basic electrical testing of equipment and phasing connection knowledge Perform preventive maintenance using CMMs software or equivalent Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests to supervisors and outside service technicians Keep buildings, equipment and work areas clean and hazard free Work safe and use lock out/tag out as necessary Report any machine deficiencies found to supervision Perform facilities maintenance and up-keeping when necessary All other duties as assigned
