Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate CNC machines according to engineering specifications, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to machine settings to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or programming issues as needed.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and production staff to meet production schedules and quality targets.
  • Document machine performance, production data, and maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
  • Previous experience operating CNC machines (e.g., CNC lathes, CNC mills, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, including G-code, M-code, and setup procedures preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification in CNC machining or manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC certification from an accredited program).
  • Experience with advanced CNC machines or programming software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
  • Previous experience in a high-volume production environment.
  • Program and modify CNC machine controls (e.g., G-code) to optimize performance and achieve desired part specifications.
  • Experience with inspecting finished products using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, or gauges) to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
