Your Role at Baxter

THIS IS WHERE you build trust to receive results. The primary responsibility of the Inbound Document Routing Specialist is processing new prescriptions for Respiratory Health devices, and reviewing those prescriptions for regulatory and compliance requirements. This role is also responsible for reviewing and routing incoming documents to the appropriate work queues, and troubleshooting issues with existing patient accounts. There is collaboration with other departments within Respiratory Health when necessary, and additional administrative duties may be assigned based on business need.

What You'll Do:

  • Managing the documents received in the inbound fax queue.
  • Entering new patient prescriptions into Total Information Management System (TIMS).
  • Review and verification of the required elements for a valid prescription, per Standard Written Order (SWO) and payer guidelines.
  • Processing/routing other documentation as appropriate.
  • Update and maintain existing patient accounts.
  • Troubleshooting issues with existing patient accounts.
  • Add and maintain healthcare professionals and healthcare locations within TIMS.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • 1+ years of industry experience, preferably in health insurance and/or durable medical equipment.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and State Medicaid payers helpful.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Detail orientated and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Possess the ability to manage time and prioritize critical priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.
  • Experience with Total Information Management System (TIMS).

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $41,600 - $62,400 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
