Human Resources Manager

$120,000-125,000 salary

Hybrid in Cincinnati, OH

SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and implementing HR strategies to support organizational goals. The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting the organization's values and culture. OBJECTIVES:

  • Collaborate with the VP Finance, COO and Leadership team in setting and driving HR strategy
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement practice-wide goal setting and performance management
  • Build a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met
  • Planning for the future: ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, people development, succession planning, performance management, and retention
  • Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and acting when necessary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, and training programs.
  • Administer employee payroll and benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems to assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Coordinate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
  • Conduct regular HR audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related issues.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with at least 5 years of experience in human resources management.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of navigating the Internet as well as various Microsoft Office programs to include Excel, Access, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
