Responsibilities

The EMT/Basic is responsible for delivering and administering high quality care and transportation to ill and injured persons. The EMT/Basic must demonstrate clinical competency and compassion in providing for physical and emotional needs of patients.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Additional Qualifications:

Experience as an EMT preferred. A baccalaureate degree is preferred. Must be proficient in English; must have the ability to read, write, and speak in English.

License or Certification:

Current Florida EMT/Basic Licensure/Certification. Current AHA Health Care Provider (BLS) CPR certification.  Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic policy.
