Our Distribution team plays an important role in our business operations and warehouse success. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the daily administration and operation of the warehouse.
• Oversee all incoming materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures.
• Simplify and improve ERP system processes and procedures.
• Review effectiveness of operating procedures, maintenance, space utilization, and protection of equipment.
• Assure proper documentation and timely shipment of all finished goods.
• Promote and maintain an economical and efficient shipping and freight logistics system. 
• Analyze sales reports, backorder reports, Negative Inventory reports, and customer service levels to expedite customer orders. Update required reports (OFI, CS Error Logs, MIT, etc.) 
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, including managing communication, creating and owning supplier contracts, reinforcing supplier accountability, and initiating cost improvements.
• Manage negotiations to ensure optimum costing, efficient routing, and quality service to meet customer requirements. 
• Coordinate international freight forwarder negotiations to ensure that our international customers receive optimum costing, efficient routing, and quality service. 
• Prepare claim forms and interact with Accounting and Customer Service to prepare proof of deliveries and lost or damaged shipments. 
• Provide training, guidance and direction to department personnel. 
• Promote, support and adhere to all safety and quality related policies and procedures. 

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent
• 3-5 years distribution and logistics experience. 
• Thorough shipping knowledge, including hazardous materials and export regulations. 
• Thorough knowledge of company quality and safety standards. 
• Assure proper documentation and timely shipment of all finished goods.
• Ability to provide leadership to shipping department
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
