Showroom Design Consultant - Trinity Kitchen, Bath, & Lighting

Job Type / Shift / Benefits

This is a Full-Time position located in New Haven, Indiana. Paid time off, commissions, holidays, 401(k) and insurance benefits are offered.

Day Shift (Monday through Friday)

Purpose of Position

• Work with builders, designers, homeowners and contractors on new construction and remodeling projects to choose/specify and sell lighting, cabinets, and countertops for residential and commercial applications.
• Review construction drawings to prescribe proper layouts, specifications, details, and products.
• Work closely with manufacturers to keep abreast of latest styles, trends and technical aspects of lighting and design.
• Enter customer orders, coordinate deliveries and take care of after sale service with customers.
• Perform other duties and tasks as required.
  
  

Prerequisite Skills

• Design knowledge and skills for residential and commercial spaces.
• Ability to read construction drawings.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, and 20/20 design software.
• Ability to work with a diverse set of customers in a selling situation.
• Superior ability with details.
• Learn local building codes as appropriate.
  
  

Position Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year sales experience, with interior design and remodeling industry preferred.
• Proficiency with 20/20 CAD software and Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design Preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as be an effective team member.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Strong work ethic, analytic and organizational skills.
