Job Summary:

Provides oversight of the activities on a nursing unit during a specific shift, including serving as a resource to staff, directing patient flow, assuring appropriate utilization of resources and providing oversight for the provisions of quality care in a manner satisfying to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as a resource to staff on clinical care.
• Coordinates patient flow.
• Responds to clinical emergencies.
• Provides and ensures quality patient care.
• Role Models self-development.
• Assists in providing positive impressions to patients and visitors. Promotes a caring and compassionate approach to all interactions.
• Participates in performance improvement activities by identifying issues and assisting with gathering and evaluating data.

Minimum:

Experience:

Two (2) years experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or Charge Nurse experience

Education:

• Associate’s Degree - ADN, Diploma or foreign equivalent
• BSN Preferred

Licensure:

• Current AZ State RN license in good standing required.
• Current BLS healthcare provider card (American Heart Association).
• Preferred: ACLS obtained within six months of hire into position.
