Job Description:

•  Responsibilities/duties
o Perform all directives and work orders from winemaking consultant
o Perform processing of grapes during harvest to include weighing, recording, pressing/crushing, and storage
o Assist with fermentation procedures to include inoculations, punch downs, additions, and racking
o Tank and barrel cleaning
o Assist with clarifying, blending, and filtering of finished wine
o Manage bulk wine storage across all tanks and barrels in the cellar
o Perform lab analysis of grapes/wines from vineyard to bottle
o Oversee bottling of wine to include the procurement of all case goods required (bottles, labels, corks, etc.)
o Facilitate sessions for all blends/trials/tasting for consultant
o Record management, including work orders and compliance information in regard to state and federal guidelines for production, labeling, and harvested fruit
o Assist in the sourcing, ordering, and storing of raw materials used in winemaking
o Maintaining inventories of dry goods, storage vessels, lab chemicals, additives and other winemaking materials
o Maintain cleanliness of facility, equipment, and working spaces
•  Other assigned duties
o Inventory management of outside businesses associated with the winery
o Delivery of case goods to affiliated businesses upon their request
•  Requirements
o Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
o Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
o Must be able to skillfully navigate Microsoft Excel
o Must be highly proficient with inventory management
o Must be able to work extended hours and weekends
o Must be 21 or older
o Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
o Ability to climb stairs and ladders and walk on uneven ground and wet surfaces
o Must be comfortable with heights
o Ability to stand for long periods of time
o Ability to operate in small spaces
o Forklift certification preferable
