Job Title: ServiceNow Architect

Location - Birmingham, AL

Onsite - W2

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Architect with expertise in the banking and financial services sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions to optimize IT service management (ITSM), IT operations management (ITOM), governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), and other banking-related workflows. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and developers to ensure the successful deployment and integration of ServiceNow within the banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Architecture & Design:

Design and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with banking industry standards and compliance requirements.

Develop architectural blueprints for ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, GRC, SecOps, HRSD, and custom banking workflows.

Define best practices and governance for ServiceNow platform usage and development.

Ensure seamless integration of ServiceNow with banking systems, applications, and third-party tools.

2. Implementation & Development:

Lead the configuration, customization, and deployment of ServiceNow applications.

Collaborate with developers to create workflows, scripts, UI policies, business rules, and integrations.

Optimize ServiceNow performance and ensure platform security and stability.

Oversee ServiceNow upgrades, patching, and maintenance while minimizing disruption to banking operations.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory:

Engage with banking business units to understand their needs and translate them into ServiceNow solutions.

Act as a trusted advisor to IT and business leadership on ServiceNow best practices and industry trends.

Provide technical guidance to ServiceNow developers, administrators, and process owners.

Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer for internal teams.

4. Governance, Compliance, & Security:

Ensure all ServiceNow implementations comply with banking regulations such as PCI-DSS, FFIEC, GDPR, and SOX.

Define role-based access controls (RBAC) and security models to protect sensitive banking data.

Monitor system usage, conduct audits, and enforce governance policies.

5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Evaluate emerging ServiceNow features and enhancements to improve efficiency in banking operations.

Identify automation opportunities using ServiceNow s AI/ML and workflow capabilities.

Drive the adoption of self-service portals, chatbots, and digital workflows to enhance customer experience.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: 8+ years in ITSM/ITOM/GRC solutions, with at least 5 years in ServiceNow architecture roles.

Banking Expertise: Strong understanding of banking workflows, regulatory requirements, and financial services IT landscape.

Certifications (Preferred):

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS ITSM, ITOM, GRC, etc.)

ITIL v4 Certification

Cloud and security certifications (AWS, Azure, CISSP)

Key Skills:

Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture and development.

Strong knowledge of ITSM, ITOM, GRC, and banking-specific workflows.

Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server).

Experience in scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript) and automation.

Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
